In the Army Now - The joy of the Armed Forces
I've never been a soldier. I was an air cadet once, but that mostly involved sitting in a mouldy hut learning about aeroplane engines with the hint that one day we might go flying.
Yet, anyone who has spent time defending their nation, or at least drinking bromide-laced-tea for their nation, must have stories to tell. Tell them now.

air cadets bummings were nothing to do with me...
tbh i was in the air cadets for nigh on 6 years. i never got bummed.

most of my family are in the services, both grandads in north africa. one flying recon, the other i cant say.
im going a different route. first person in 3 generations to go to uni.
i think thats a tad more important than defending my country. (did think about it, was going to join but i thought my life would be better in civvy street)
