Irrational Hatred
People who say "less" when they mean "fewer" ought to be turned into soup, the soup fed to baboons and the baboons fired into an active volcano. What has you grinding your teeth with rage, and why?

The word "solus"
Apparently it means a marketing email sent out to promote just one thing, like an event or something. Or as I would call it, an email. I'm currently watching it creep into a bunch of marketing-speak at work (an email I just got refers to "two solus emails"). Why? Why can't I just call it a fucking email?

I do not even understand this...
... but I hate it already.

I used to deliver a free weekly local newspaper, the sort chock full of Aldi leaflets and the like
and occasionally I would have to deliver one particular leaflet on a different night of the week. This was called a solus delivery, which I had completely forgotten until you reminded me.
What a gay word.

Just out of interest:
If you received one of these "solus" email messages -- how would you characterise it?
Or do you propose that a one-off spam* not have its own word?
*oops, I suggested one for you.
