When people say "Historia et vitae magistra", when they clearly mean "Historia est vitae magistra".
Oh, and how can people confuse inevitable with inexorable? Grrrr!

You may also be familiar with
the otherwise excellent Isobel Campbell and Mark Lannagan album Ballad of the Broken Seas whereon they do a song 'Deus Ibi Est'. Decent enough song apart from the fact they sing Deus Ibi Ay. Damned non-classically educated eejits.
