My mother insisted we shouldn't shave our legs because it was a form of subjugation and also once you've started you have to keep at it every couple of days 'til you die or lose the will. Naturally, I don't listen to my mother so I bought into the whole smooth-leg thang. Works for me.

I was shocked, in later years, to find out that some women shave their thighs. That seems so... hardcore...
