This is a question Killed to DEATH

Speedevil asks: What have you killed? Accidentally, or on purpose. Concepts, species, a man in Reno, the career of a well-known entertainer, or anything else.

Interesting reading this thread about killing......
....dont most serial killers start out by killing/torturing animals?

Yes, I am a carnivore and I have probably eaten several cows, chickens, pigs, etc

But I dont think I have ever set out to deliberately kill an animal and I don't think I particularly like those who have

You really are too stupid to be alive
Does subcontracting the animal killing make you a better person?

It's not necessarily all that stupid. I enjoy eating beef, but would hate to kill a cow - partly because I would find it profoundly distasteful, and partly because I'm not trained to do it - I couldn't be sure of killing it cleanly. I'd sooner have a professional kill it for me, with the minimum of fuss and pain. I buy from places that I know - or hope - will do this.

I buy game from people at the pub whenever I can. Ultimate free-range. Wouldn't care to shoot it myself, but I'm happy to buy it from those that do. The people I buy from have respect for that which they kill, and try to do it as cleanly as they can - which, with their expertise, is far better than I could manage with the same animal, and the same gun. I still hate the cunts who kill non-game animals for fun.

You might have the experience necessary to give an animal a quick death - most people don't. It doesn't make them 'stupid'.

The 'tard says he doesn't like people that kill animals, that he's never set out to kill an animal...
...but he eats meat.

I say 'tard, it could be a troll.

You don't buy the game from the guy down the pub and then slag him off for killing the beastie? That's what this dumb fuck is doing.

What He^ Said

It's not that essexfriend is uncomfortable killing things to eat that's the problem, it's that the 'tard is perfectly happy for other people to kill his food for him - but then will dislike that person as he kills animals. For him to eat. It's one of the most hypocritical statements I've heard for a while.

Cheers

True 'nuff... perhaps I simply prefer to think that it was poorly worded, rather than inexcusably dense. One would hope he didn't mean professional slaughter men, experienced hunters, and whatnot.

So, to sum up your story
"I think that killing animals is bad but I like burgers and chicken nuggets"

I'm the same with homosexuals, they should all be locked up
but I do enjoy sucking off tramps.

actually most serial killers
start off by torturing newbies on /talk.

The fact is
If we all had to kill our own food meat consumption in this country would fall big time. Most people are hypocrites when it comes to meat, including me...But that's city folk for you, the country boys probably have a different take on it.

I think that there is a big difference
between killing and torturing.
Having grown up on a farm(not in the UK), I have ended the lives of many animals, but I would like to believe that there has been no deliberate torture involved.
I do think a bit different to some, as I cannot understand why it is acceptable to terminate the life of a fish, crustacean, mouse/rat,or a fly for that matter, but as soon as someone thinks that an animal is cute and cuddly, it's no longer OK.
I think it is a dreadful double standard, that some psycho old bat will spend her time and money "saving" feral/stray cats, and ignore the plight of other animals.
I recently read of a case where a Magistrate fined and berated someone for killing a stray kitten ( they stomped on it's head, a quick death),because of public outcry, yet I imagine these same people will think nothing of reaching for the flyspray and watch them die slowly....fucking hypocrites.

what a lot of replies
OK, maybe my post was worded badly.
there is a difference between someone who enjoys killing - as some of the previous posts clearly indicated - and someone who kills an animal for food.
there are some butchers who would fall into the 'sadistic torturer mould', and some who are simply practising a trade.
same with hunters...........some do it to put meat on the table, some do it simply because they like the thrill of putting a bullet into an animal.

when a poster writes that they deliberately drive over gophers because gophers are stupid, I tend to think that person is probably just a few short steps away from carving up prostitutes

And by buying meat you are supporting the sadistic torturer butchers, without you they couldn't exist.
You sound like a Nazi justifying the part he played In genocide. You disgust me.
