There's a medical blog somewhere with a large section about colonoscopies.Apparently some people, under the sedation, think they're being buggered and react accordingly.

other things you don't want to hear..."ooh that made your eyes water" which is what the observing nurse said to me during an endoscopy! I wasn't sedated and didn't find it very funny at the time ...I do now but it was a long time ago!

I heardcouldn't make out most of what the anaesthetist was saying but as I slipped under I did catch
"noch ein verdammter Ausländer!"
or "another bloody foreigner!"
