It's a Woodhall Spa thingWhen I was there, a local car could be seen around town with the number plates tweaked to read "Adolf" (I think it was "ADO1LFE"). The local paper had an entire page of small ads from companies who fix mobility scooters, which says a lot about the age profile of the population.
Woodhall Spa's only claim to fame is that the Dambusters took off from the airfield there, and even then I imagine the locals lining the end of the runway with signs saying "Leave Germany Alone" and "Coventry's That Way"
