Midlife Crisis
I've hit my forties, and my midlife crisis has manifested itself in old band T-shirts and a desire to go on camper van holidays. How has it hit you, or - if you are still a youngling - your elders?

At 40, I started divorcing the ex. Our kids were old enough and I'd loathed him for years.
I went off with a bloke about 6 years younger than I am, settled down and eventually married him.
The ex also found a younger partner. So much younger that he went to prison.
That put ME in my place.

Yeah, the ex was a twit
but as I knew the kids'd never hear from him again if he wasn't forced to see them every day I hung on as long as I could.

I stuck it out for 22 years.
Wasn't looking forward to the Silver Wedding stuff.
I've known several couples who've had a silver wedding celebration and then separated within the year. Now that's a midlife crisis for you.

Yeah, friends of ours last year, silver wedding bash
with "He's/She's my best friend" monologues and this year split up.
Hard to fathom but if you don't live with them you don't know what they're really like.
