This is a question Changing Your Mind

monkeon writes, "People tend to seek things that back up already held beliefs, but what books, films, or real-life events have actually changed the way you think about a subject?"

When I was a kid I once kept a half-empty mug of tea on the radiator to see what would happen.
After a few days it erupted into a sea of fascinating multicoloured moulds, but after a couple of weeks these died down, leaving a dull grey sludge. I would go back every couple of days to see what it was going to do next, but by this point all the action was long over. To be honest, it was a complete waste of time even looking at it. My mum should've thrown it away weeks before.

hahaha
A mate of mine once left a cup of tea under a hill he was modelling on his model railway set. He was always remodelling it and found it a couple of years later when the tunnel was no longer wanted. It was a very dry and solid cylinder of mould which we tipped out. There were several layers of colour which was quite fun to see. so... A bit more time would be the advice for next time

You should have wanked.
Your mother would have replaced it with a fresh mug.
