Misheard and Misunderstood
Rachelswipe says: My niece - after months of begging - was finally allowed to get a hamster, and her grandfather was utterly horrified to learn that it had been called "Nipples", a pretty good name for a pet if you ask us. I used to give a lift to a dizzy bint that lived close to me and worked close to where i worked.
When crossing a bridge with a large windsock flapping quite a lot, she asked me what it was for. I told her it was a way for ships and their crew to tell the time. She probably still to this day believes that.
