Only the one time....Once, while enjoying a quiet lemonade or five in a local(ish) pub. (My actual local is full of chavs wanting a fight) A random bloke approched my collective and asked, quite openly, If I was Danny Wallace, of Castaway and Dave Gorman fame, we were all so taken aback, he wouldn't take "no" for an answer* so I signed his copy of "Yes Man" in the most illegible scrawl possible as to avoid any possible confusion it had really been signed by anyone who could actually write. He seemed more than happy though.
*This, inconveniently being the truth
