Mix TapesEveryone's made a mix tape (or CD, USB stick, or whatever kids do these days). Mostly to get in someone else's pants, but we're sure there are other, lesser, reasons too.

Possibly the most unlistenable tape I've ever heardBack at university, when I was into rock and prog in a big way, I was challenged that I couldn't make a 45-minute tape consisting of nothing but drum solos drawn from my collection. 45 minutes turned out to be no problem. I ended up with 90 minutes worth and still some left over. Making it was fun. Listening to it was not, every track ending just as something interesting was about to happen made it a truly frustrating experience.
Nobody has ever listened to the whole tape all the way through.

Prog rock is like that thoughI have an ELP CD which has a live version of Karn Evil 9. Listening to that, you're always expecting it to finish, then off it goes at a self-indulgent tangent again.
When the end does eventually come, after over 34 minutes, it just sort of stops!
The funny thing is, I quite like it.
