Not disaster but definately stupid.
My girlfriend sent the following text last night to all her friends:

"This is my new number"

#End#

Was it from her new or old phone?
If it was her new one, why was that stupid? It would have the number attatched and save her typing it out.

If it was her new phone
Who would know who it was from?

Text from unknown number: 'Hello, this is my new number'

I couldn't work out the problem either.

One of my friends did exactly this a few months ago
I knew who it was straight away because she was the only person I know who's dippy enough to do such a thing.

The
only reason I figured it out was 'cos some dizzy bint (or could be bloke I suppose) did exactly the same to me a few months back.

Sorry if not clear why it was so stupid..
the rest of the night people were texting back saying, 'Great! but WHO has got a new number!'

It's no better when you do remember to put your name at the end of the text, about half of all recipients reply with 'Who is this?' because they were too dumb/lazy to scroll down to the end of the message.

Sometime I wonder if I should clear out some of my contacts...
