This is a question How nerdy are you?

This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.

So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?

As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.

Revel in your own nerdiness.

I get really happy
when I see my digital watch read 11:11:11 or similar. To the extent of watching it when I see it's at 11:10:00 (say) and waiting for the wonderful moment.

Not necessarily nerdy, but pretty sad.

edit: As kitescreech points out, 12:34 is also good.

Haha
Me and a friend regularly text each other, trying to make the text arrive at 13:37...

Just for a laugh, imagine that..

Mr Nobody:
Yes: if the date fits into the pattern of the numbers that's even better.

(I was actually a bit annoyed when I realised I'd missed 01:02:03 on the 4th of May 2006.)

I took photos
of my car's odometer when it reached 88888 and 100000 miles.

And posted them on my bebo site.

Can't wait for 123456!

i made my friend
stay awake until 12:34 one night, and on tuesday in my politics lecture i realised it was 03/03, then realised it isn't too long until 08:08:08 on 8th August 2008, and that i will have to be awake at that change for a time as i work fridays! i will be so disappointed if i miss it!

I wonder how many B3tans don't do this
I once arranged a picnic party for my car's 100k. We all drove around the countryside until it clicked over and promptly stopped and had a social. Bit nerdy.

I have pictures of my bikes odometer...
reading 017710 & 018810

And was perhaps a little too pleased that I arrived home just as it reached those special milestones.
