How nerdy are you?This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.
So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?
As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.

Biological nerdynessIn labs whenever we used the microfuge (a centrifuge for small amounts of liquid) I used to sing a version of Spin me round by Dead or Alive that had the word microfuge instead of record. If that's not nerdy in a bit of a sad way I'm not sure what is really.

I have a friendwho sings "it's a nice day for some...white washing" every time she puts a white wash on. So it's not all weird.

When I was doing the onlin e dating thingI used to go through all my so-called "matches" and shudder at what kept popping up there, and would sometimes sing, "Oh, mingers and munters and fat, fat women! They'll drive you crazy, they'll drive you insaaaaane..."
(Originally it was "Whusky, Cigareets and Wild Wild Women" in case you didn't recognize it.)

..I work in a garage, when i get someone to do shake and brake (shaking steering and checking brakes...), i like to sing "shake it shake it shake it, shake it shake it, shake my steering"

HeheI like that, never did it but I used to frequently sing to myslef in my head 'I am a scientist' from Brainiac Science Abuse in labs...
