This is a question The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.

In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

my cats are being uncharacteristically friendly lately
which gives me the fear that i may be dying. they're acting like that cat in the nursing home that went and laid with whoever was about to go.

or they may just be crawling around me for cheese.

I didn't think
cats liked cheese? Are yours special cats, or do most cats like cheese and I've only had special ones that didn't?

they go crazy
for the cheese.
my mum breeds cats and all of hers love cheese too.
your cats must be special!

i've trained my kitties to yowl for cheese every time i go into the kitchen.

my cats
are being friendly to each other for once.

Normally they're fighting or chasing each other, but reading this post, and thinking they were quiet, I went looking for them. Found them lying half asleep next to each other, and the older one was cleaning the little one.
