This is a question The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.

In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

you lot should be ashamed
A couple of weeks ago i posted this b3ta.com/questions/foodsabotage/post251185 . For some reason everyone ran my recipie down without trying it. Is this the thanks i get here for try in to be nice by posting a recipie for some tasty treats??? Fair enough it may not be as funny as giving your granny some spacecake, but occasionally you need some seriousness in life.

Is that 'rice pie' or 'recipe' ??

Not original, though.
You should probably have admitted, at some point, that you stole the recipe, and therefore the joke, from Penn and Teller's book, which included it as a very nicely printed recipe card to give to friends.

i was just curious to see if anyone would fall for it ( or admitt to falling for it). thought it was worth a second shot.

You may have just done a nice thing and stopped somebodys kitchen looking like a porn set at the end of shooting bukkake babes 5
