The happiest dog I've ever meet was a dog in cyprus we called Tripod (for the same reasons).He was adopted by everyone on the estate I live, not a BBQ went by where he wasn't involved, making sure the really burnt bits of meat wern't put to waste.
Eventually though, someone put him down, 'cus she said "There is no body to look after her properly", even though there is _always_ someone looking after that dog.
