Ahh we had a magimix before we had a kenwoodThe different blades were really exciting. Like a grater-blade. I find the Kenwood much easier to clean though.

magimixes are bombproof*and they've got a very clever direct drive system. the kenwood feels like it's made out of milk bottle tops in comparison. But £45 for a lid? fucking hell.
*except, apparently the lid and the dough hook. But mine was nearly 8 years old, being fair
