This is my favourite 90s one hit wonder for sure:

Of all the things Edwin Collins is, he isn't a one hit wonder!
Don't you remember Orange Juice? His band before he became a solo artist?

If you want a 90s one hit wonder there is always this

Dude
I was 10 when this came out. This is the only song I know of his.
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:08, Reply)
Edwin, in his youth.

Nope
I don't know this. I still maintain that he sounds like Jarvis Cocker though.
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:12, Reply)
Go on, give us one of your Britpop classics!

(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:13, Reply)
Pulp, obviously
or Suede. Hang on.
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:17, Reply)
Give us a tune!
Something catchy.
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:18, Reply)
I heart this song HARD

I'm going to see them, finally! Eeeeee can't wait!
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:20, Reply)
They are good live.
(Although oddly, since Pulp split, every time I've see Jarvis as a solo artist, the band has always been the former members of Pulp).

I find you a tune.

I like this
you should totally come to Pulp by the way - it's the day after swipe's bash so you'll be in London anyways.
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:26, Reply)
I turned down a ticket as the only person I knew who was going was the ex wife!
I'm now more tempted.

I've gotta be honest, I struggled to get back Britpop (my barnet may have given that away though!)
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:27, Reply)
Bollocks to the ex wife
come, it'll be a laugh. The chances of you bumping in to her are minimal, and besides if you do, you can always pretend I'm your upgrade to wind her up :P
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:30, Reply)
I'll have a gander on e-bay and see if there are tickets at a sensible price.

(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:33, Reply)
It's not sold out

(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:37, Reply)
I might get involved.
It depends how much I'm likely to spend over the weekend, I don't much fancy shelling out £200+ for hotels, plus similar on ale and food and a ticket on top.

For this money, I could have a week in the Costa Wanka.
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:39, Reply)
You could
but would you want to? You'd have way more fun with us lot and at a gig. Buy it now, you don't know when the tickets will sell out, and then you'd have to shell out extra on ebay if you did decide to go. And you can always hostel it or crash at someone's house?
(, Sat 8 Jan 2011, 23:41, Reply)
True enough.
I'll give it some though.

Although based on it not being sold out at this point, there will probably be speculators who got tickets with view to making money sticking them on e-bay soon!

Bargains a hoy!

That Suede song is a classic (although I prefer Trash)
No idea why, it seems to sum up OT!

If you fancy dipping your toe into something more recent....

Not a big fan
probably more recent than that, but quite britpop-y?
