This reminds me of the piece of stringwho wanted a pint in a bar but was scornfully told by the barman that he didn't serve pieces of string. So he went outside, rolled in the dirt and messed himself up, went back in and asked again. Met with the question 'are you a piece of string?' he replied 'fraid not'
