This
same argument goes for chocolate. Made of beans, innit?

Ditto beer.
Made of malt and hops, it's practically a portion of veg!

Cider is apples, and by adding black I'm getting extra fruit!
And my other drink has juniper (they're berries, I think) and lemons in. Bam, I'm all sorted.

And alcohol can be used to clean and sterilise things
So arguably it's keeping you free of germs.

Doubly so, when it comes back off onto tables/shop shutters/the pavement/my nostril
I've not drunk since Wednesday AND I DON'T MISS IT AT ALL

My word, you're doing even better than me!
(I know what you mean, it is nice to wake up with a clear head for even a few days out of a week)
(, Thu 13 Jan 2011, 23:49, Reply)
I don't miss it. After my performance on Wednesday I remember why getting me drunk is a BAD THING

(, Thu 13 Jan 2011, 23:54, Reply)
Do you mean yesterday or last week?

(, Fri 14 Jan 2011, 0:09, Reply)
Last week
I wasn't hungover, that was the thing. I really should learn some way...
(, Fri 14 Jan 2011, 0:11, Reply)
So by drinking five pints
you have reached your five a day? This argument stands for cider, too...
(, Thu 13 Jan 2011, 23:43, Reply)
But they're supposed to be five different portions
Which is why I like to work my way along every different ale on the bar - it's purely for the health benefits.
(, Thu 13 Jan 2011, 23:45, Reply)
Haha!
Well, Kopparberg comes in lots of different flavours now so that's me sorted.
