I do this sometimes
I'm not sure what I'll do on Monday, probably just say that I was busy and I'm doing it. Excuses excuses :(

can you go in early? maybe stay late?
honestly, if it were me, I'd stay late and do it off the clock
not suggesting you do this, just saying it'd be what I would do to get it done

I do go in early
and stay late when it's required. I imagine I will be doing this more in the next few months.

I've decided to put more effort into my work.
I get what needs to be done finished but I could put myself out a bit and organise stuff better etc.

Well, that's just it
generally I get the work done, so there's no real cause for my boss to be pissed off, but I'm not as organised as I could be, and I should be further on in my project than I am.

I'm also hoping that if I look to be working harder then my dad won't whinge when I'm taking time off.
And I feel a bit guilty for not pulling my weight now and then,

You're entitled to time off
by law. Your dad has no right to whinge if you get all your work done before you go away.

I know : )
He just likes whinging.

Dead relative?
Very distraught etc etc

I'll think of something
the ridiculous thing is, is that I have had quite a busy week, but because I haven't done what I said I'd do whilst my boss was away, it's going to look like I've slacked off mightily when I haven't.
