The one thing that annoys me about the gay stereotypes surrounding Ballroom Dancing
Is the suggestion that there's nothing masculine about it. The Ballroom discipline involves dignity, grace, power, elegance and being pressed up against a beautiful woman (unless you're Natalie Lowe's partner) throughout. It's not even slightly gay, leading is absolutely masculine. Although I will concede that this is less the case when you replace that beautiful woman with a bumder.

LATIN Ballroom is gay as tits, however.

Not that I've ever indulged in either. To dance Ballroom you should look like you're on your way to a costume ball at the Ritz, dressed as Gene Kelly's more sophisticated (and much younger) brother
