I disagree, it should have been in the news.
The fact that we have evidence that even the so-called professionals at a football match are unable to accept someone who is clearly capable of their job based purely on their gender means that we can move forward and start making changes to rectify the situation. You can't just ignore a problem 'because everyone does it'.
