erm, we don't "own" the country.we live here. consider taxes as a rent not a mortgage.

very fine definitionSurely the people "are" the country... most countries have to be created by a populace at some point ergo the common ownership. And if you are saying that we dont own it then it must belong to the Queen as the owner of all the common land?
