What the blithering fuck are you wittering on about?Def Leppard sold absolutely fucking MILLIONS of records in America. They were the biggest seller for a couple of years and broke loads of sales records etc.
Your argument is nonsense too: why would America want to hear the Beatles/Stones/Kinks/Yardbirds/Who/Zeppelin etc etc etc because they invented blues & r&b?

You're absolutely right, of courseMy argument was ill-conceived and badly fleshed out. The central concept was that Def Leppard are massively crap compared to Bon Jovi, but I fancy you're going to take issue with that as well.
