I can confirm that the films listed won precisely fuck all between themAlthough if you call a film Tokyo Gore Police, it does sort of suggest that Oscar-bait is not part of the plan.
We all know Oscar gets it wrong. A lot. Kramer Vs Kramer over Apocalypse Now? Ordinary People over Raging Bull? Not one single directing gong for Alfred Hitchcock OR Stanley Kubrick? The point of my question was to vent about these particularly sizeable errors
