Ah! I started at Boscastle and walked to Newquay.
I only managed 10 miles a day, but that was on my own with a full pack, and it's very up and down. I did lose half a stone in 4 days though.
I want to go back and do Newquay to St Ives, it looks lovely.

I'd love to do that whole stretch, it's absolutely gorgeous.
The up and down suits me, I didn't even feel it the next day which amazed me.

4 bloody days of it and no training
I felt it! I probably wouldn't now though, I'm an awful lot fitter. It pissed my sister off no end when we did the c2c that I was entirely fine throughout and afterwards and she was dying.

Which one did you do?

Whitehaven to Sunderland in 3 days
I am still at a loss as to why I agreed to it, to be honest, except that it was for charity.

Did you enjoy it?

(, Fri 18 Feb 2011, 21:11, Reply)
Yes, mostly
I thought I would feel massively croissant-y at the end, but I didn't, and I think I'd have enjoyed it more if I'd gotten a decent feeling of accomplishment when I finished.

I find life better with no expectations.
There's a chance that makes me a pessimist but in my heart I know that's not true.

Ummmm.
easier said than done though, I think. And after 3 days of cycling 50 miles/10 hours a day, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to feel like I've achieved something, or be a bit smug instead of just 'meh, is that it?' :)
