I made a touchpad last year to prove that ipads are shitMine had 3 USB ports, VGA out, DVD Writer, Ran whatever operating system you felt like. I have a video of it but I doubt you'd care enough to watch it.
In answer to your question they aren't like a touch screen laptop because they are so shit that they are incapable of doing 99.9% of the things a laptop can do.
