I tended to favour the bluepurely because it was a bit cheaper, although the red may have made my projectile vomiting a tad more spectacular.

I tended to buy blue for my 'park drinking' when I was 14 as well.I don't recall many people opting for Red.
Of course, if you were flush, Diamond White was a good alternative.
