It's not the sleep
I rarely get more than 4 hours a night unless I've drunk heavily. But I've always had that. It's just feeling tired while I'm awake that's unusual.

Go and see the Doc
Explain the problem and if you get fobbed off, request blood tests.

You are young enough that you should be able to function without feeling tired (the excuse of the elderly and the lazy), and you're neither of those.

It could be anything, but get it checked out.

DrJeff insists. And don't be putting it off for a week or two, make a decision to go next week, and to stick to it. Yes?

Nothing they can do really
just tell me it's the side-effects of the pain-meds kicking in.

They can provide you with certification to say that this is why you're under par
And take some of the pressures off you.

If you're not as fit to work as some of your fellow students, then needs to be highlighted.

Discuss it with your doctor. Also, if you're taking meds that make you tired, enquire as to alternatives.
