Definitely go for it.I know a few parents who have home schooled, and their kids seem brighter, more interesting and generally more grounded.
The schools round here are fucking terrible.
Edit, if you try any support group, DO NOT go for anything with even the slightest religious affiliation. They are psycho God botherers, who believe in beating kids stupid.
