I've never watched it. But I imagine it makes a lot of peoples lists, along with Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, The Princess Bride, It's a Wonderful LifeStar Wars, etc etc etc
movies that I have not seen and don't want to because I imagine they're exactly as you've just described Shawshank Redemption
