I'd had a bottle of wine at this point but shoved a coffee down my neck and drove to her house. By the time I got there she'd rang National Health advice line to get advice and they'd sent a bloody ambulance for her. Off I go with her to Blackburn which is another town as we don't have an A&E dept in Burnly. I was a bit drunk, looked like shit, crappy jog pants, no knickers, fleece jacket full of dog hairs etc. Got to bed about 2pm. Up early today to do errands, for my mum, sister etc and walk the dogs all the while my neck is killing me. I managed to have a nap around 3.30pm today and I've just woke up.
She's ok btw.

Have the diagnosed what was wrong with your mum, or have they just said it's one of those things?
Why not run yourself a nice hot bath and have a long soak, it might help the pain in your neck.

She's as fit as a butchers dog but I guess it's better to make sure. Docs think it's stress related.
I can't be bothered to have a bath so I'll just neck more painkillers.

Why not get some more wine and some chocolate and watch a good film.
