A year is a bit young to want to start fighting, I'd thinkmaybe there was something about the other dog that she didn't like. Maybe she's on full puberty now and all the hormones are playing with her.

Not sure. She's very...how should I say...proactive? She's always on the offence. If she senses something she doesn't like she's going to let you know. She barks a lot.
I've seen her lunge at and bark at people before when she felt threatened but she's never done that.
