Scrounging for refundable glass bottles.
I must have spent years of my childhood scampering around building sites and behind pubs looking for these elusive 'glass cheques'. We would even go round peoples doors and ask, and no, I never got nonced and my silence bought by 2 empty Irn Bru bottles.

I was cutting the grass last year and 2 urchins shouted over, asking if I had any empty bottles. Unfortunately I didn't, it did make me go all misty eyed though.

By the end of one university term my bedroom floor was littered with 112 empty Irn Bru bottles.
That last week of term we ate an awful lot of chippies.
