I'm still trying to figure it out, be fair.I like the Swiss system though, with regular referenda and the proportional representation. Unfortunately it does bring up the occasional anomaly, such as the recent ban on minarets which was a bit unfortunate.
And if anyone says PR doesn't work, I can point you to several examples where it has clearly worked for many, many years. Apart from Italy and Belgium.

I don't think I'm qualified, to be honest. It's more a half-baked idea than anything else.But that said, I think the Swiss system is best.

As you've edited, I'll permit myself one. I was previously weightedcompanioncube. Darth Foxtrot suggested a name change. I liked his suggestion and I went with it. And I am a massive Pratchett fan. Although I don't think the idea of the Patrician would work here, unfortunately.
