Hmm, it should see it as just a standard wifi spot, if that's how it works. Yeah', but the whole point of jailbreaking is to run unautherized code... there isn't such a thing in the ethos of android.

On pure Android, yes, to a point.Handset manufacturers have markedly different ideas though. Besides most people just accept how their devices work. Not me, I like to tinker.
And as for my phone WiFi, I think it's something to do with the supplicant file on the Tab that only works a certain way.
