Most people do hate them because everyone else does.I think the majority of people that actually think about it don't like the difference between America "the brand" freedom, democracy, justice and liberty that they sell overseas with what they tend to do, which is protectionism, aggressive capitalism and competition, self interest and secrecy.

Oh and internal subsidies are perfectly acceptable for them but not for anyone who needs help from the IMF which they basically control.
(Europe are just as guilty of this)
