Your problem isthat everyone is stupid at 16 when it comes to politics. The secret is not assuming you know it all, but taking the time to research your stuff and listen to others. Reading one or two textbooks and liking the sound of a manifesto is not the same as making an informed decision, not one that is formed solely by your prejudices.
