My friends have previously told me to go and sit at the opposite end of the busBecause they were embarrassed by my giggling as I read the Profanisaurus.
So I guess social isolation is also a risk.

Plus the risk of getting your head smashed inwhen you constantly relay jokes and quotes from it to people who already know them/ have read it/ heard them five hundred times before

Ah, trueBut that's a risk with a lot of things - see how the legacy of Monty Python was ruined by members of various computing/sci-fi/fantasy-related university societies...
