I have a mate like that. He turned up wearing those stupid drainpipe/parachute trousers that fasten around the ankle.

Turning up dressed like a twat basically gives you two options1. Have a fucking good story to explain why you have ended up dressed like a twat
2. Bend over, bite down on a stack of beer mats and receive your due mockery like a man
Taking option 3 (or "the third way") and saying you're "doing it ironically" or somesuch other shit means you've come down with a terminal case of being a cunt, and euthanasia is the only kind option.
