That was the insurance replacement for my sponsored* bike which was nicked after a race in '97. It had a load of custom stuff on that wasn't available to buy at the time, which rather confused the insurance company somewhat.

*by "sponsored" I mean "stuff I blagged for nowt in return for riding with their logos" rather than suggesting I was actually any fucking good, here.

plus, road bikes are for monumental benders
and I will maintain this right up to the point I give in and buy one since they are a shit sight faster on my commute.
