While I do not fully endorse thisI will say that the majority is, if not always, often and notably wrong about all kinds of stuff, and the only reason I can think of that they should be allowed to run a country is that the alternative is worse, which it is.
I just don't think we should get all self congratulatory about it, like it's some kind of panacea for all the world ills.
