Rob 'Biffo' Newman spent quite a bit of time at Southend.A former Bristol City great he was! I also remember seeing Stanley Victor Collymore turn out for Southend.

I liked him a lot as a player for usbut he was a shocking manager.
And Collymore, for all his faults as a human being, is far and away the best player ever to pull on a Southend shirt.
