Nobody expects the NHS to treat them like royalty, but the A&E bed policy is 4 hours not 9 and the place for an ill mother with a five week old baby is the post natal ward.

If an A&E consultant suggested the CQC as the first stop for a routine file and bin complaint then he's got an axe to grind and enjoys having peoples time wasted no end. What a prick. There's a hospital complaints procedure for a reason, escalating it beyond that is fucking irksome. www.imperial.nhs.uk/patients/complaints/

So, are you telling me that if your wife (if you have one?) and your five week old daughter (if you have kids?) were left in A&E for nine hours, where (as Chompy correctly says) there is clinical and child protection risk (and you are not allowed to take the baby away from the mother) you'd be happy to ignore the advice given about how to complain?

Just ignore him, it's words on the internet, you know they're doing it to get a rise out of you.

Running off in tears to the CQC is fucking pathetic where there's a complaints guideline in place.
