I feel like a supporting cast member in an episode of Barryoaks.
The ex is giving me grief, I've got a crush on somebody else's girlfriend and the girl that is interested in me doesn't have any distance to her because she's a) although hot, not otherwise interesting and b) being a 28 year old Hindu, she's under considerable pressure to marry somebody culturally suitable.
All I need to complete the plotline is to get into a physical confrontation with a squadron of rugger buggers.
Just two months ago, everything was so much more straightforward.

Go for the Hindu, I'd say. It's her own choice as to whether she's with you or not. You shouldn't let her family weigh on your decisions.

I was just thinking about all the stuff that's happened in the last few weeks and it's struck me as almost soap operatic.

You like what you've got, but you always fancy trying something that someone else has on their plate.
It's perfectly normal.

Imagine dipping your prawn cracker in someone elses wonton and them catching you.
