I don't like that the only people to play are the ones who take it way too seriously and own a shit load of cards. Then the game turns into 'who spent the most money?'

I have a friend who, when in his teens, started getting obssessive about that game.
He'd buy all those cards, spend large sums of money on getting rare ones. He had one, called a mox something, I think. Apparently very rare.
Where is he now? Owns his own house and married. But she's foreign and the house is in a slightly less desirable area, so HAH
