But I'm in the middle of light pollution.
Let me tell you a story - because I've nothing better to do.
November 9th 2005 was my 37th birthday and was a stunningly clear night. I'd been to a business meeting in Cologne and was flying home from Brussels. There were two passengers and three crew on the plane.
We flew, roughly, up above the Thames estuary then hooked right above St Albans and flew above the M1 to Leeds Bradford.
I could see the whole of the little bit of the country we call England. I think it was a priviledge - most times there'll be cloud cover and I've certainly never had that view before or since.
My feeling then and now - I'm working my way North by light pollution.
